The Classics Collection
Ride to 45 minutes of classical music from Vivaldi to Verdi. Our Classics Collection offers 20 selections of music organized on CD to fit a typical schooling session from warm-up to cool-down. Transitions are frequent and short segments of walk are interspersed throughout. Music is recorded at moderate gait tempos to suit most horses. The CD begins with Renaissance and Baroque music, builds to dynamic Romantic ballet music, and ends with a Bach Adagio.
The Great American Songbook Collection
Ride to some of the most popular and well-loved songs of the last century. Our Great American Songbook CDs feature recordings of standards still performed today by artists like Harry Connick, Jr. and Michael Bublé. On your schooling CD, you'll hear such composers as Irving Berlin, the timeless voice of Rosemary Clooney, the ultimate song and dance man, Fred Astaire, and swing bands such as Glenn Miller and His Orchestra.
Your music will be engineered from set playlists at or near your horse's tempos. The music is pre-selected for style and tempo; you won't choose individual pieces for your CD. You'll have about 5 selections each for walk, trot and canter, totaling 40-50 minutes of music.
Tempo fluctuation is normal in older recordings. The drummer didn't attach a metronome to the drum set or listen to a click track when recording, so tempo is sometimes inconsistent.
Great American Songbook music is available in the following range of gait tempos: Walk - 49 to 56 bpm (beats per minute) Trot - 70 to 83 bpm Canter - 89 to 108 bpm
Here's how it works: You provide your gait tempos, DVD or a link to video. Beth will analyse your horse's gaits to determine tempos. She'll match as much music as possible exactly to your tempos. Additional music will be provided within 1 bpm above or below your tempo. For instance, if your horse canters at 95 bpm, your selections will range from 94-96 bpm. DVDs will be returned with your schooling CD.
