The following catalogue lists Woodwind Studios ready-to-ride Impresario CD collection of instrumental music competition freestyles, suitable for Fourth Level-Intermediare I. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find examples of ready-to-ride freestyles modified for the Grand Prix level. 

These are not "off the shelf" CDs; music is engineered to match your horse's gait tempos. Ready-to-ride CDs are custom freestyles created especially for the collection.

Many Impresario freestyles contain canter pieces in different meters to fit 3-tempi, as well as 2-tempi and 4-tempi flying changes of lead. It is very rare for riders in international competition to add a canter selection in "3-time" to their freestyle because such music is nearly impossible to find at the proper tempo. At Woodwind Studios, we have made an enormous effort to research and include this music in many of our Impresario freestyles.

We invite you to listen to a complete recording of one of our Impresario freestyles. Our 'Adventurer III' freestyle is very powerful music to complement your horse's dramatic gaits and training. A mix of older film music and modern favorites, this music is stylistically matched for a unified theme. The canter music alternates between 4-time and 3-time to give you exactly the right meter for 2-tempi, 3-tempi and 4-tempi flying changes in your choreography. In the narration provided with the sample, canter music in 3-time is pointed out. Compare the editing and engineering in this music with samples provided at the bottom of the Custom Freestyles page; you'll hear absolutely no difference in quality. 

'Adventurer I' freestyle: Get ready for swashbuckling adventure in this dramatic film music freestyle. This freestyle contains canter music well suited to 2-tempi, 3-tempi and 4-tempi flying changes of lead. Gait order: trot entry, trot, walk, canter. (Audio Samples 4)

'Adventurer II' freestyle: Epic adventure films provide maximum impact music for this freestyle. Selections are the same as 'Adventurer I' with the addition of a second trot piece. This freestyle contains music well suited to 2-tempi, 3-tempi, and 4-tempi flying changes of lead. Gait order: canter entry, trot 1, canter, walk, trot 2. 'Adventurer III' freestyle: "Enter the hero" when you canter down centerline to majestic film music of John Williams and Elmer Bernstein; this is the most powerful music in the catalogue. This freestyle shares one trot piece with 'Adventurer II' combined with different selections for canter and walk. 'The Buccaneer' freestyle: This exciting freestyle features a medley of epic themes from contemporary films. 'Dangerous Liaisons' freestyle: Lively music of Vivaldi and other composers is featured in this baroque music freestyle which includes a theme from the film Dangerous Liaisons. Gait order: canter entry, canter, walk, canter, trot.

'Funkadelic' freestyle: Blending soul, funk and jazz, this high-energy freestyle contains a tribute to Ray Charles and spotlights a saxophonist who performed and recorded with James Brown. Walk music is 46 seconds in length. Gait order: canter entry, canter, walk, trot.

'Italian' freestyle: The Italian overtures and dance music of Verdi predominate in this classical freestyle which concludes with a rousing finale of familiar music from the Russian ballet. 'John Philip Sousa' freestyle: Sousa composed much more than marches and this ballet music freestyle features one of his most engaging pieces of dance music. Modified Grand Prix Freestyle Examples:

Any of our Impresario CDs can be modified for the Grand Prix level to include 1-1/2 to 2 minutes of music for piaffe/passage in two segments, entry gait of choice, and trot music shortened to appropriate length for the level.
