The following catalog lists Woodwind Studios ready-to-ride Impresario CD collection of instrumental music competition freestyles, suitable for Fourth Level-Intermediare I and comparable tests.
Many of our Impresario CDs feature canter music in 3-time and 4-time to give you the right meter to perform 2-tempi, 3-tempi and and 4-tempi flying changes. Riding to canter music exactly suited to tempi changes will enhance your artistic scores.
All Impresario CDs are 4:30-5:00 in length. Music is organized in the catalog from slowest to fastest gait tempos.
*Freestyles unavailable in certain regions are not necessarily in use. Once a freestyle is sold, we never offer the music again in that region. We understand your desire for originality and can provide information about current use to better help you make your selection.*
For Grand Prix: Any of our Impresario CDs can be modified. We add music for piaffe/passage in two segments, create an entry in gait of choice, shorten the trot music to suitable length for the level, and adjust the timing to 5:30-6:00 minutes. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see examples of modified Grand Prix freestyles.
Here's how it works: Send DVD of your horse at all three gaits or a link to footage. Once gait tempos are determined, you'll be informed which Impresario CDs from our catalog can be successfully tempo-adjusted for your horse. Listen to music samples of these freestyles at this website and choose the music you like best. The freestyle will be engineered to fit your horse's gaits.
If you already know your horse's gait tempos, simply consult tempo adjustment listed for each freestyle to know the music can be engineered for your horse. Check availability in your region.
CD production scheduling: We complete freestyles according to each client's anticipated show date. We can usually engineer the freestyle within 1 week of your selecting music. We make every effort to accommodate your show schedule, but please allow sufficient planning time. Any re-editing of a catalog CD is restricted to additional tempo adjustment and cost is based on $50 per hour. Because we limit the number of clients we accept, we cannot offer refunds.

We invite you to listen to a complete recording of one of our Impresario freestyles. Our 'Adventurer III' freestyle is very powerful music to complement your horse's dramatic gaits and training. A mix of older film music and modern favorites, this music is stylistically matched for a unified theme. The canter music alternates between 4-time and 3-time to give you exactly the right meter for 2-tempi, 3-tempi and 4-tempi flying changes in your choreography. In the narration provided with the sample, canter music in 3-time is pointed out. Compare the editing and engineering in this music with samples provided at the bottom of the Custom Freestyles page; you'll hear absolutely no difference in quality.
'Adventurer III' freestyle: "Enter the hero" when you canter down centerline to majestic film music of John Williams and Elmer Bernstein; this is the most powerful music in the catalogue.
